The R-Evolution® CR is a new-generation ophthalmic microsurgical system developed by Optikon (BVI). It fully integrates phacoemulsification and vitrectomy on a single platform. With the ability to switch seamlessly between anterior and posterior segment surgery in just a few steps, the system optimizes OR space and reduces the need for multiple standalone devices.

AGILE FLUIDICS™ – Intelligent Fluid Control
IOP Dynamic Compensation maintains a stable anterior chamber throughout the procedure. The dual-pump system (Peristaltic & Venturi) allows surgeons to choose between flow-based or vacuum-based aspiration, adapting flexibly to each surgical step.
TWEDGE™ 20K – High-Speed Vitrectomy Cutter
Thanks to its dual-blade design and cutting speed up to 20,000 cuts/min, the TWEDGE™ 20K removes vitreous quickly and efficiently. Traction on the retina is significantly reduced, making vitreoretinal surgery gentler and safer for the patient.
Minimal Stress™ – Intelligent Ultrasound Energy Management
The system automatically detects resistance from the lens nucleus, adjusts phaco energy in real time, and maintains stable tip elongation. A variety of pulse protocols (fixed Duty Cycle, HD Pulse, Burst) enable efficient phacoemulsification while minimizing intraocular tissue damage, especially to corneal endothelial cells.
