Endo Optiks®
Product Description
Direct Intraocular Visualisation for Precise Surgical Treatment Endo Optiks® is an ophthalmic microendoscopy system designed to provide direct visualisation of intraocular structures during surgery. Combining wide-field illumination, high-resolution video imaging and an optional integrated laser, the platform supports both anterior and posterior segment applications.
Visualise and Treat from Within the Eye
Direct intraocular visualisation for anterior and posterior segment applications
Endo Optiks® provides a microendoscopic solution that enables surgeons to visualise intraocular structures directly during surgery. The system combines illumination, video imaging and, depending on the selected configuration, therapeutic laser delivery within a single platform. This allows surgeons to observe the target anatomy while performing treatment in a range of ophthalmic applications.
Endoscopy in Glaucoma Surgery
Supporting endoscopic cyclophotocoagulation under direct visualisation
In glaucoma surgery, Endo Optiks® supports Endoscopic Cyclophotocoagulation (ECP), enabling surgeons to visualise the ciliary processes and deliver laser energy directly to the treatment area. ECP may be performed in combination with cataract surgery, as a stand-alone procedure or through a pars plana approach during vitreoretinal surgery.
Endoscopy in Vitreoretinal Surgery
Extending visual access when the operating microscope view is limited
Microendoscopy provides vitreoretinal surgeons with a panoramic view of anatomy and pathology that may be difficult to observe through the operating microscope. When anterior or posterior segment conditions obstruct the conventional posterior view, the endoscope offers an additional intraocular perspective to support assessment and access to the surgical area.
Magnified Heads-Up Video Imaging
Wide-field illumination combined with high-resolution video imaging
The microendoscopy system combines a xenon light source, a high-resolution video camera and connectivity with a range of video monitors. Intraocular images are displayed on a magnified heads-up monitor, allowing the surgeon to view the surgical field without relying exclusively on the operating microscope. Video outputs also enable connection to compatible accessories within the operating room.
Endo Optiks® E2
Integrated endoscopic imaging, illumination and 810 nm diode laser
The E2 configuration features an 810 nm diode laser with an output of up to 1.2 W, together with a 175 W or 300 W xenon light source and a high-resolution video camera. Its footswitch controls both laser operation and illumination intensity, providing access to essential functions during the procedure. The system is designed for use with BVI’s dedicated ophthalmic laser endoscopes.
Endo Optiks® E4
A flexible endoscopy platform with multiple probe options
The E4 configuration incorporates a 175 W or 300 W xenon light source, a high-resolution video camera and video outputs for connection to monitors and compatible accessories. It supports BVI’s patented ophthalmic endoscopes and probes in straight or curved designs. An optional footswitch enables convenient control of illumination intensity.
Probe Options for Different Surgical Approaches
Straight and curved designs for a range of intraocular applications
Endo Optiks® is designed for use with dedicated ophthalmic endoscopes and probes. Straight and curved probe options support access to different intraocular structures while combining illumination, video visualisation and laser treatment capabilities according to the selected system configuration.
