The SCHWIND ATOS is a femtosecond laser platform developed to expand refractive treatment capabilities, ranging from flap creation in FemtoLASIK to flapless techniques like SmartSight. This device combines high precision with a streamlined design, offering surgeons greater flexibility.
Core Technologies
SmartSight – Flapless Lenticule Surgery
Treats myopia and astigmatism by creating a lenticule within the corneal stroma, extracted through a tiny incision. No flap, no suction, reducing complication risks and promoting faster recovery. Similar to SMILE but developed independently by SCHWIND.
Low Energy, High Density Spot Technology
Laser pulses with low energy but high spot density enable precise tissue dissection, limit gas bubble spread, reduce collateral damage, and create smoother incision planes.
Cyclotorsion Tracking and Compensation
One of the first femtosecond systems to integrate this feature. Captures the eye's orientation and automatically compensates for rotation during docking and procedure. Critical for high astigmatism cases requiring absolute axis accuracy.
Integrated SCHWIND CAM Software
Shares the common SCHWIND CAM platform with AMARIS lines. Data from diagnostic devices like MS-39 or PERAMIS transfers seamlessly for consistent treatment planning.

Operates independently or combined with AMARIS 1050RS and 750S. Smooth transition from flap/lenticule creation to excimer ablation without time loss.
